TargetLine Shooting School was founded in 1990 by Steve Schultz of McAllen, Texas. Steve has been a member of the NSCA almost right from its inception. A Master class competitor since the beginning of Master Class who competes nationwide, he has been coaching the game of sporting clays since 1986 and has instructed some of the best shooters in the world. Steve got his start shooting as a youngster and began his competition career at the age of 10 shooting flyers. This led to the clay target games of skeet, trap and sporting clays. A fierce competitor on the course, Steve brings his unique background and experience to his coaching game. Being a student of shotgunning and an admirer of the experience and technique of the British shooter, he has developed a unique instructional format that communicates the art of shotgunning to its fullest. Having instructed and coached most of his adult life has given Steve the insight and communication skills it takes to lift anyone’s game to the next level and beyond.

TargetLine Shooting School was founded to allow for the mentoring of highly competitive shooters and help them develop the techniques and skills to win. Steve personally coaches multiple time NSCA All American and 2006 NSCA National Champion Tony Rivera, multiple time All American and Team USA member Gebben Miles, USA Olympic International Skeet champion Sean McLelland, NSCA All American and Team USA member David Niederer, Collegiate National Champion and Junior International Trap record holder Sheldon Benge (who is also a World Junior Sporting Gold Medalist and was the youngest shooter to ever shoot a 100 in sporting clays), along with 4H National All Around Champion and multiple NSCA All American Mack Wayne Davis. The diversity of the disciplines he teaches is illustrated by the various champions he has coached.

The vision for TargetLine Shooting School is to offer the shooting world a cadre of personally trained and highly effective coaches who know what it takes to win. Tony Rivera, Gebben Miles, David Niederer, Jeff Foster, Tim Miles, Mack Wayne Davis and Darin Fields are now available and giving instruction all across the U.S. Steve has also created an innovative new concept in instruction, the Total Immersion Super Clinic, where for 3 days, shooters are totally immersed in the world of competitive sporting clays, both day and night. These clinics feature a 2-1 instructor ratio with Team TargetLine instructors, teaching the total package of how to excel on the sporting clays field, paying special attention to the hows and whys of winning. It is an intense 3 day clinic where instructors who know how to win teach future winners.
