Here we are approximately two months into the website. Things are going pretty well as far as the number of people visiting the site. We have had thousands of hits that cover a total of 24 different countries.
The last few weeks have been slow, with the number of events being at a minimum. Starting this week the shooting season shifts in to high gear. With the number of events increasing, we hope to have article to update the site in a more timely manner.
We would also be happy to post any articles sumbited on local shoots or events that are happening in your area. Please feel free to send us what ever you like, and we will get it placed on the site.
I have been surprised that we haven’t had any club reviews sent in by shooters. I would have thought that people would want to share their shooting experiences with others, but maybe I was wrong.
Our goal is a simple one, to provide the fastest up to date accounts of events and information available on the game of Sporting Clays. We are not here to try and replace any printed media you might purchase now but to add to the experience of shooting and enjoying the sport.
Our hope is to have an information flow that will allow us to update the Major Articles section just a few hours after the event has ended. We are hoping to include event articles coupled with pictures, scores, and some video interviews. Some of the sections of the site will be updated weekly, some will be on a monthly basis. Information is what the shooters are after and that is what we will try to provide.
A few things to keep in mind:
One is we are a work in progress not computer Gods with thousands of dollars worth of equipment on hand and several people to do everything that needs to be done. There are three of us that will be building the site. Hopefully we will be fortunate enough to add a series of writers over the next few weeks to our list of contributors.
Bottom line is, we are going to do the best we can with what we have right now. Some things might come off great others might come off less than great. Either way please be patient and we believe the end result will be worth waiting for.
We will be updating equipment and techniques as both the site and our knowledge grow. We hope our best is good enough and if it is we will move forward from here, if it turns out that the pain is greater than the gain we will hang a “Closed” sign in the window and move on to something else.
If you have constructive ideas to improve the site then we are listening. We will add or delete anything that either helps or slows us down.
